Deweese Lewis Dasher, 85, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024, in Pooler, Georgia. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Deweese was born on January 11, 1939 to her parents, Attis and Clotele Lewis, in Glennville, where she lived for most of her life. She graduated in 1957 from Glennville High School and would later work in the hardware store she and her husband owned for many years. Deweese married Richard Dasher in 1958, and they shared sixty-three wonderful years of marriage. Deweese was a member of First Baptist Church in Glennville and will be remembered for her strong faith and commitment to God. Deweese loved cooking, watching sports, and visiting with friends. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life in her final years, and she talked about them to everyone she encountered. Deweese is preceded in death by her parents, Attis and Clotele Lewis; her husband, Richard Lee Dasher and her son, Richard Lee Dasher, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Kayla (Kent) Pedrick of Pooler; brother, Allen (Jane) Lewis; grandchildren, Alexandra (Robert) Crosby of Pooler, Reagan (Austin) Segers of Atlanta, Marlee (Dalton) Powell of Reidsville, Jenna Dasher of Reidsville; great-grandson, Rob Crosby and Brooks Powell; great granddaughter, Kenna Crosby; and dear friends and family members, Ken and Mariann Rogers.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm at the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Howard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
