Dewey Carlton King

Dewey Carlton King, age 94, of Duck, NC, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023. Born on July 28, 1929, in Norfolk, VA, Dewey lived a full and accomplished life.
Dewey served his country honorably in the United States Navy before embarking on a successful career. He held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager at Arinc Research Corporation, where he made significant contributions throughout his tenure.
A dedicated member of Still Waters Baptist Church, Dewey found solace and strength in his faith. He cherished his time spent with fellow church members and found comfort in their fellowship.
Dewey's passing leaves behind a void in the lives of those who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Mae Sears and Dewey Fred King, as well as his first wife, Barbara Land King, his second wife, Katherine S. King, and his brother, Richard King.
Dewey will be deeply missed by his three loving daughters, Kathy King Barbieri (Daniel), Pamela King Waldron (John), and Carla King Richards (Robert). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dewey also leaves behind three sisters, Shirley Simmons, Joyce Kriner, and Margaret Mallard, who will cherish his memory.
Services to honor Dewey's life will be held as follows. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Still Waters Baptist Church in Nags Head, NC. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior. A graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Springs, MD.

Dewey Carlton King will be remembered as a devoted family man, a respected professional, and a faithful servant of God. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
