Mr. Dewey Stamper, 88, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, August 29, 2025, after a long illness.

Dewey was born on March 26, 1937, in Lee County, Kentucky, to the late Earl and Annie Gross Stamper. Dewey loved his family first and fishing came in a close second. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and watching the University of Kentucky play any sport. He was a retired salesman for the Frito-Lay Company.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Francis Little Stamper; one daughter: Janice Hughey (James) of Harrodsburg; one son: Johnny Stamper of Richmond; three grandsons: Shaun Stamper of Richmond, Colton Hughey of Versailles and Jamie Hughey of Ripley, West Virginia; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons of West Virginia; two brothers: Londus Stamper and Jimmy Stamper of Richmond; three sisters-in-law: Bonnie Stamper, Eleanor Stamper and Nancy Stamper; brother-in-law: Danny Kelly as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by on sister: Carol Kelly four brothers: Earl Douglas Stamper, Virgil Stamper, Walter Stamper and Leslie Stamper: and sister-in-law: Pat Stamper.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor John Doss officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday morning at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Colton Hughey, James Hughey, Edward Little, Keith Little and Leroy Jackson.
