Dexter Halcomb

Dexter Halcomb, 82, of Bowling Green passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his residence. He was a native of Cornettesville, KY and was born April 9, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents Tillman Halcomb and Ola (Asher) Halcomb, a sister Charlene Halcomb and her husband Chester, and a brother Ronald Halcomb.
Dexter was a retired foreman from Holley Carburetor and was a member of the Bowling Green Masonic Lodge #73 F. & A. M. Also he was a member of the Scottish Rite, Rizpah Shrine Temple and former board member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Dexter was a proud Kentucky Colonel, Republican and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Survivors include his daughter Valerie Lyons (Dewey), a sister Sybil Halcomb Brown (Daniel), a brother Roger Halcomb (Brenda), and a sister-in-law Betty Halcomb. Two wonderful grandchildren Dr. Meredith Garst (Dr. Collins Garst) and Nicholas Lyons. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Masonic services will be conducted Thursday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
