Diana "Sue" Abrahamsen

Diana Sue Abrahamsen of Fort Walton Beach, 20, 2025. She was born to Hubert D. Adkison and Eva B. Adkison on June 11, 1947 in Opp, Alabama. She will be remembered for being a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. She was our strength, inspiration, and most loyal fan. She was considered by many as a "female John Wayne." Those close to her knew her best for her generous spirit and her love for family, friends, and days spent fishing on the river. To the wider community, she was known as a formidable businesswoman who successfully owned and operated both Country Corner Food Store and Sleepy Oaks Stables. She will be dearly missed every day for the rest of our lives. She was preceded in her passing by her Mother Eva Adkison, Father Hubert Adkison; and daughter, Sheila Jean Broughton. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Abrahamsen (Richard Roberts) and Melissa and Tyler Thompson; granddaughters, Ashley Brewster and Chelsea Lanier; and great-grandson, Waylon Brewster. She also leaves behind four siblings: Wanda Howard, Christine Adkison, Kathy Dubose, and Pete Adkison.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 06, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
