Diana Lilly (Durban) Burke, 77, passed away peacefully with her son and friend Mary by her side on November 17, 2025 at UF Health.

Diana was born in Assumption, Ohio on February 16, 1948 to RoseMary Josephine (Maire) and Donald Jackson (died from injuries sustained in the War shortly after her birth), and was loved and raised by Peter Durban, who became a father to her and her brother Tom.

Diana graduated from Summerfield High School, class of 1966. She married Patrick Burke on February 28, 1987 in Dundee, Michigan and resided in Clawson, Michigan before moving to sunny Florida. Diana was a member of AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed hosting friends, making homemade gifts, and cooking for a crowd. A life well-lived that was full of love and laughter.

She is survived by her son Scott (Tuesdee) Monaghan of Shipshewana, IN, and granddaughter Sierra (Drew) Derrick of South Bend, IN, brother Tom (Janie) Durban of Elizabethtown, KY, Tim Durban of Port Charlotte, FL, and Ida (Woody) Dailey of Petersburg, MI, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her husband Pat, her parents, brother Pete, and sister Pat.

A heartfelt thank you to Mary and Ellie, two wonderful friends that were at her side supporting her, especially through these last few weeks. We are forever grateful for their support and kindness during this difficult time. And a special thank you to the nurses at UF Health who showed amazing grace and care for Diana. You are a blessing beyond words.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to Ladies Auxiliary AMVETS Post 2006, 500 Canal Street, Leesburg, FL 34748.
