Diana Funston

Our mother and friend left this world peacefully at Central Washington Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 7:48 pm. Surrounded by her son, Bud (Robert), and her daughter, Rachel.
She was born in Wenatchee WA at Deaconess Hospital to Robert and Helen Funston. Diane was always there for you in any way she could be. In her younger years, she enjoyed a day on the town a ride on the bus, or a walk through the store shopping with her mom. She enjoyed the company of friends who have passed and recently enjoyed visiting with family friend Evelyn, a long-time bus rider friend. In her older years, she enjoyed being home occasionally, still going to eat or for a drive around town many times, she shared eating out and trips to Tacoma.
She cared for her dad while recovering from surgery and they were able to have good times together and make up bad times before his passing in 2014. After that, she cared for her mother, until her passing in 2019. Even in her last months of sickness, she cared about everyone else before herself. In her last days, she got to see her family and was at peace.
The family hasn't always been close, but we believe Diane left this world knowing she was loved. She is survived by her son, Bud (Robert); daughter, Rachel; sister, Judy; sister, Shirley; granddaughters, Alexia and Shawnna and grandson Michael.
We will miss you mom.
