Diana G. Joseph, a loving wife, mother, and dedicated librarian, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in New Mexico at the age of 78. Born on March 24, 1947, in Santa Monica, California, Diana's life was one of passion, faith, and a deep appreciation for the arts and education.
Growing up in the sunny climes of Santa Monica and later North Hollywood, Encino, and finally Reseda, California. Diana was a bright and eager student. She graduated from Bishop Alemany High School and went on to attend Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo. There, she not only earned her Bachelor's Degree in History but also met the love of her life, Alan Joseph in 1967. Their connection was undeniable, and after two years of courtship, they married in a ceremony filled with joy and love. Together, they embarked on a beautiful journey of over 56 years of marriage, relocating to Huntington Beach to start their new life together.
Diana's early years as a homemaker were filled with warmth and care, creating a loving home for Alan and their daughter, Julie. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home as she taught Preschool and then volunteered as a librarian at Saints Simon & Jude Catholic School, sharing her love for literature and the opportunity to be close to her daughter who attended the same school. Her passion for books and education led her to a fulfilling career as a librarian at Clegg Elementary School in Huntington Beach, where she touched the lives of countless children for over 20 years. She retired in 2011.
Diana's interests were as rich and varied as her character. She cherished the times spent with her family, exploring new dining experiences and enjoying the occasional shopping excursion. An aficionado of the arts, she found great pleasure in watching ballet performances, her eyes lighting up at the grace and beauty of the dance. Diana carried herself with a touch of class that was evident to all who knew her. She was the epitome of poise and compassion, and her strong Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life, evident in her regular attendance at Mass.
A woman of many passions, Diana also found relaxation in the world of soap operas, with "General Hospital" and "As The World Turns" being among her favorite escapes. She never went to bed without a book in her hand. It was in these simple pleasures that she found a sense of joy and tranquility.
Diana will be remembered as a loving, faith-filled, and passionate soul. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, friends, and the many children whose lives she enriched through her work.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Joseph, and her cherished daughter, Julie Jones, who will continue to honor her memory by living out the values she instilled in them.
Diana G. Joseph's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and the pursuit of knowledge. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Rest in peace, dear Diana, your story will be told with love for generations to come.
