Matthew Warren Preble

It is with deep devastation and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, Matthew Preble. Matt had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for the past several years, and suddenly, it got the best of him last week.
He grew up in the San Fernando Valley where he attended Alemany High School, and CSUN, from which he graduated with a degree in business.
He loved many sports, including tennis and throwing the football or baseball with his beloved brother, Richard.
His passion in life was music, especially playing guitar. He had several bands in his early adult life and tried his best to become a rock star! His most successful band was called The Allies and they had 2 songs featured in motion pictures. For anyone interested, some of his music can be seen @theallies.net.
When his dream of rock and roll fame did not take off as much as he hoped, his love of music led him to the post production sound business. He has been a managing partner and executive VP of sales in the post production sound company, Smart Post Sound, since 2005.
He became a guitar collector and had an incredible collection of rare guitars. Playing the guitar and riding his bike remained his passions until he died.
He is survived by his sister, Juliet West, his brother, Richard Preble, as well as 4 nieces; Blaze, Cheyne, Summer and Sierra, 4 great nephews, one great niece and his beloved dog, Bear.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. We will all remember him sitting playing the guitar and enjoying his music.
We love and miss you so much Matt! You will be forever in our hearts and minds.
