Diana Milano Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Diana L. Milano (nee Lewis), a resident of West Deptford, peacefully passed away at her home on May 11, 2024, at the age of 66. The beloved wife of Karl A. Milano for 46 years and the devoted mother of Krista (Brett) and Karl (Brittany), Diana was the loving grandmom of six grandchildren: Julian, Brett, Charles, Eleanor, Arianna, and Melody. She was predeceased by her parents, Haroland and Lucy Lewis (nee DiStefano), and in-laws, Emil and Rita Milano (nee Morreale). She was also a beloved sister to Warren, Nancy, and Sandra, dearest sister-in-law of Paul (Kathy), and Sandi (Carmen), the late David and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Diana was born and raised in South Philadelphia, there she met the love of her life Karl. Long time fans of The Beatles, they're love story wrapped around each melody of every song. They married and began a family of there own in a quiet town of West Deptford, New Jersey. She was a wonderful mother, with nothing but love to give. She embraced the arrival of her grandchildren cherishing every moment, every birthday, every milestone, every minute. She was and will always be the glow in thier eyes on Christmas eve. The perfect Grandmom she was.
She had a passion for flowers, growing gardens just came first nature to her. If you ever had a plant in need of love she could nurse it back to health in a heartbeat. She carried sunflower seeds in her purse, if there was ever an empty pot she would drop a seed in, always leaving a trace of her beautiful soul.
She loved music, but her favorite was by far Micheal Buble. A member of one of his largest fan groups, the Bubblettes, she developed wonderful friendships and treasured memories with those who shared her passion for his music.
The most important thing to Diana was making the best of any situation she was the sunshine when skies are gray. Through her last months she fought hard and gave her all. There was a quote that she shared, I'm not interested in fighting, hating, blaming or being petty with whatever time I have left in my life. I want to live, I want to be happy, I want to be loved and I want to have peace.
Her family has lost its center, our bright and shining light, the sun around which our lives revolved. She was, first and foremost, a nurturer, a wife, mother, and grandmom/Nana who cared for her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, and family with a lifelong passion and a kindness that knew no bounds. Her laugh, her smile, and her hugs brought people together. Words cannot express how much comfort
and joy she brought to us, but we can all honor her life and memory through the love and kindness we show to those around us. She will forever remain deeply in our hearts.
