Patricia Lovett Obituary

Patricia Mary Lovett, 82, of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born on December 14, 1942, in Camden, NJ, to Joseph Flanagan and Alberta (Applegate). She graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1960. She worked at Bell Telephone, the Sears Parts Distribution Center and later at MPS Promotional Services, dedicating over 50 years of her life to hard work and loyalty.
Known for her red hair, freckles, and razor-sharp wit, Patricia - or "Patsy," as she was affectionately called - embodied the spirit of an inner-city Irish Catholic woman: direct but fair, sarcastic yet warm, with a fierce love for her family.
She found great joy in spending time with her 11 grandchildren, especially when it meant telling them every rotten thing their parents had done at their age - a pastime she particularly relished. She was also an active member of St. Cecilia's, participating in the Christmas Bazaar and many fundraising events for both the parish and her alma mater, Camden Catholic.
Patricia loved simple pleasures: going to the casino with her dear friends, sipping her beloved Coors Lights, and sharing a good laugh. Whether playing the slots or holding court at family gatherings, she brought humor, honesty, and heart to every moment.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her parents, Joseph and Alberta; and her brothers Jack (Patricia), Joseph (Mary), and Jerry.
Patricia is survived by her children: John (Deborah) of Ponte Vedra, FL; Teresa Sims (Jim) of Mt. Laurel, NJ; and Vince (Brenda) of Tabernacle, NJ. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ashley Lynn Chesney (George), Sydney, Devon, Taylor (Maria), Noelle Lovett, Madison and Andrew Sims, Riley, Erica, Owen, and Shane Lovett; great-grandchildren: Brooke, Margaret, Emmie, Grace, and Teddy Chesney; and her brother, Michael Flanagan (Jean).
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Ingelsby & Sons Funeral Home in Pennsauken, NJ, which is handling the arrangements. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, October 14th at 11:00 AM at Mary, Queen of All Saints (formerly St. Cecilia's), with Fr. Ed officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a cause close to her heart.
Patsy, your laughter, your honesty, and your love will echo in our hearts forever. You will be sorely missed.
