Ms. Diana Lynn Ervin Watlington was born December 26, 1951 to the Late Louis James and Edwenner Ingram Ervin in Petersburg, Virginia. She peacefully transitioned in her home on Thursday, July 25, 2025, surrounded by family.

She was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School, Class of 1969. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Upper Iowa University June 2001.

She was a faithful member of Grace Church of DeRidder and upon moving to Lake Charles, she ended Christian World. She began working for the Federal Government in 1981 at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.

In the late 1980s, she transferred her employment to Fort Polk, Louisiana and re red as a Procurement Technician. She was recognized for Excellence in Contracting in her 43 years of employment for the government.

Ms. Diana loved being a mother to Ashley, a Gigi to Madison, and fur grandmother to Paisley. She enjoyed spending me with her family, enjoyed her sports, and watching football. She was a New Orleans Saints fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Watlington, three brothers, Louis James Ervin Jr., Ulric Ervin, Oldon Ervin, and her sister-in-law, June Ervin.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Ashley Simmons of Moss Blu one sister, Rosemary Williams of DeRidder, one granddaughter, Madison Simmons, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
