Diana K. Woolbright, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughters, on February 7, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas.
Diana began her career in mortgage servicing with Wichita Federal Savings and Loan in 1982, where she worked for many years before taking early retirement in the early 2000s. Later in life, she joined Scholfield Honda, where she worked as a document scanner for 15 years.
Diana taught her girls that they could do anything they put their minds to through perseverance and determination. She led by example, devoting her life to her family and her beloved cats. Our mom's love for her family was deep and constant, and her compassion for animals, particularly her cats, was simply part of who she was. A passionate advocate for animal welfare, Diana volunteered with a local spay and neuter clinic because she strongly believed in reducing the cat and dog population in the city.
Diana was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Eby; her father, Roger Robinson; Donald Woolbright; and her daughter, Cherri Dorsett.
She is survived by a loving family who will miss her immensely, including Milton Devenney; her daughter, Carolyn (Wayne) Taylor of Sherman, Texas; her daughter, Debra (Chad Wondra) Woolbright of Wichita, Kansas; her son-in-law, Patrick Dorsett of Wichita, Kansas; her granddaughter, Chloe Woolbright of Wichita, Kansas; her grandson, Chance Dorsett of Wichita, Kansas; her grandson, Brek (Klaudya) Wondra of Hutchinson, Kansas; her granddaughter, Kyara Wondra of Lawrence, Kansas; and her great-grandson, Reed Wondra of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Diana chose cremation, with a private family service and scattering to occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sedgwick County Zoo's Elephant Exhibit in Diana's name.
