Herkimer - Diane Camillia Catroppa, 71, of Herkimer, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, in the Wynn Hospital.
She was born in Herkimer, New York, on July 21, 1952, the daughter of the late Edwin and Stella Lukomski Catroppa. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1970. Diane was a devout catholic and dedicated her life to Jesus. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and often attended mass at Annunciation Church, Ilion, and Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort.
Diane is survived by her sister and brother in law, Elaine and Gary Kuhn of Fuquay Varina, NC; niece, Erika and her husband, Eric Root, and their children, Kathryn and Connor, of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Travis and his wife, Allison Kuhn, and their children, Reagan and Bryce, of Richmond, VA; her very special cousin, Frances Catroppa, of Herkimer.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Bubiuch, Pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
Diane's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Foltsbrook, 3rd floor, for their care and concern with Diane over the years.
