Diane Carol Clark, 77, of Chesapeake Beach, MD passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023. She was born in Leesburg, Virginia to William H. Williams and Louise (Bell) Williams. Diane was raised in Leesburg, Virginia where she actively helped on the Bell family farm. She graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham, Maryland and enjoyed the majorettes in baton competitions. Diane worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in Landover, Maryland for many years before moving to Warsaw, Virginia and working for Richmond County, Virginia social services where she dedicated herself to her work and made a lasting impact on many. She retired in 2011 and relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida where she volunteered for many local organizations. She later relocated to South Carolina and Maryland to be closer to family.
Diane had a passion for travel and exploring new places. Her love for dancing brought joy to countless gatherings, and her devotion to family and friends knew no bounds. She was a dedicated member of the Women of the Moose, Montross, Virginia Chapter 2092 for many years. She also enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, darts, and watching old Westerns.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents and companion Pete Saunders. She is survived by her children Patricia Echard of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Bill Clark of Myrtle Beach, SC, grandchildren John Echard and his husband Eric Tomlinson of Dunkirk, MD, Katelyn Echard, great-grandchild Cali O'Dell, sister Nancy Fitzgerald of Warsaw, VA and her husband Mike Fitzgerald, many cousins, a nephew, niece, and many other extended family members.
A celebration of Diane's life will be held at a later date.
