Elsie Huff Clark, age 95, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025. Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday, November 15th at Hopewell Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Chewning and Rev. Bobby Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow at Huff Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Elsie was born at her home place in Baldwin County, Georgia on February 4, 1930, to the late Emmett Lee Huff and Sarah Louise Hicks Huff. She was known to many as Mama Elsie. She worked for the UGA Extension Service and Baldwin County Board of Education. She was a Master 4-H'er, a member of Kappa Kappa Iota and the DAR. She enjoyed canning and preserving. Her speciality was making jelly. Mrs. Elsie was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald M Clark and daughter, Donnelle Clark Wright.
Survivors include her daughter Marcelle Clark Bridgeman (J.T.) of Milledgeville, a sister Emily Huff Carter of Crawford County, grandchildren Don Wright, Sara Tyer, Travis Bridgeman (Jennifer) and Clark Bridgeman (Cati), great grandchildren Owen Wright, Peyton Wright, Jacob Bridgeman, Jeremy Bridgeman, Ava Tyer, Westin Bridgeman and Colton Bridgeman.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at Hopewell Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hopewell Methodist Church General Fund.
