Diane Ruth Eichhold

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Ruth Eichhold, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on April 28, 2025. Born on October 29, 1950, Diane brought joy and light to everyone she encountered throughout her 74 years.
Diane was the devoted wife of Louis B. Eichhold for 52 cherished years. Together, they created a loving family that includes their four children: Becky (Alex) Albrinck, Lou (Nicki) Eichhold, Bridget Eichhold, and Chris "Ike" (Christy) Eichhold. Diane's legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren-Kate (Austin), Abigail, Lou, Mandy, Ben, Jack, Kyan, Iris, and Sylvia Lou and her great-grandson, Theodore.
Diane was a sister to Tina Keller and the late Timothy (late Suzanne) Keller. Sister-in-law of the late Clare (Tom) Gump, Betty (late Frank) Thesing, late Tony (Connie) Eichhold and George (Peggy) Eichhold.
Diane's devotion extended beyond earthly pleasures; she offered multitudes of prayers each day, radiating love and positivity to all. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, finding true happiness in the company of her beloved grandchildren and great-grandson.
Beyond her family ties, Diane was remarkable in her dedication to an extensive greeting card ministry, ensuring that no one forgot a birthday or special occasion. Her warm phone calls to sing "Happy Birthday" brightened many lives, as did her passion for crocheting, reading, and completing puzzles. An enthusiast of games, Diane enjoyed every opportunity for friendly competition-especially skee ball, cards, and board games. Her fond memories of trips to Gatlinburg with friends and afternoons spent shopping at the outlets will be lovingly cherished by those who knew her.
To honor her life, a visitation will take place at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road, on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is set to occur on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Ignatius Church, located at 5222 N. Bend Road, at 11:00 AM.
