Diane Fisher, 91, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully on the evening of October 31, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 25, 1934, Diane was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Yetta Karp.

Diane graduated from high school in Vineland, New Jersey, and married the love of her life, Israel Edward Fisher, on February 19, 1955. The couple made their home in Kingston, PA, where they built their life together until 1972, when Hurricane Agnes forced them to relocate to Allentown, PA, where Diane would spend the rest of her life.

A dedicated public servant, Diane was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Labor and Industry as an Unemployment Claims Intake Worker, where she helped countless individuals during difficult times in their lives.

Diane was a woman of deep faith and unwavering commitment to her Jewish heritage. She was a devoted member of Sons of Israel Orthodox Synagogue in Allentown and a Silver Circle member of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley. Her dedication to veterans and their families was exemplified through her leadership as past President of Post 239 - Lehigh Valley Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans, U.S.A. During her presidency, she served as Hospital Chairman of the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

An accomplished artisan, Diane learned the sacred art of Tallis weaving at the Wilkes-Barre Jewish Community Center. After moving to Allentown, she generously shared her skill with Sons of Israel Synagogue, weaving many prayer shawls on the synagogue's loom. Her creative spirit also found expression in sewing, knitting, needlework, and baking, bringing warmth and beauty into the lives of those around her.

Above all, Diane was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her strong desire to help others, combined with her pride in her Judaic heritage, touched countless lives throughout her community. She was a friend to many and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and faith.

Diane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Israel Edward Fisher, who passed away on August 24, 1990; her grandson, Joshua, United States Navy Hospital Corpsman; her sister, Harriet Schreckinger; and her brother, Seymour Karp.

She is survived by her three children: son Todd Fisher and his wife Loretta of Allentown; daughter Carla Scorzafava and her husband James of Allentown; and son Louis Fisher of New York City. Diane also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren who will forever treasure her memory.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Sons of Israel Cemetery in Whitehall, PA at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Allentown, www.BKRFH.com

Oh how I will miss you, I will miss our conversations we always had in the mornings. It broke my heart to hear the news when I came in to know you no longer were here, I was out for a couple of days to come back to hear about this. I will cherish the moments and laughters we had, til we meet again
