Diane H. Forest

Diane Helen Forest, 79, of Jamestown, RI passed away at home on April 22, 2023.
Diane was born on September 13, 1944 to David and Doris Heylin of Norwood, MA.
After graduating from highschool, she went on to pursue her profession as a Registered Nurse,
enjoying a long and successful career which she was very proud of.
In 1968 she married Donald J. Forest of Waltham, MA and eventually settled in Jamestown.
Diane became an involved member of her community, where she worked as the school nurse for a time and as head nurse for Bridges, Inc., helping those with mental disabilities. She also enjoyed being involved with the Jamestown Community Theatre for several years.
Diane loved taking daily walks around the north end of the Island and, in the summertime, taking dips in the bay down at Park Dock. She loved wildflowers, reading mystery novels, writing poetry and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren every summer on Prudence Island, where she found her peace and serenity.
Diane was predeceased by her son, John M. Forest. She is survived by her husband Don and her daughters Amanda M. Forest and Marie E. (Forest) Seitz, as well as her four grandchildren:
Eden, Neil, Cameron and Christian.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown. Her interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery, Jamestown.
