Diane Lynn Forsythe Grant, 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Diane was born on May 9, 1951 in Augusta County, VA. Diane is preceded in death by her parents John Ralph Forsythe, Jr. and Archie Mae Moyers Forsythe.
Diane is survived by her husband, Gary Wayne Grant; her son, Jarod Grant and his wife, Michelle; her daughter, Krystal Cole and her husband, David; her sister, Twinkle Kay Forsythe Mason and her husband, Rex; her brother, Steve Dale Forsythe; her grandchildren, Luke Grant, Juliette Grant, Madison Aldrich, Michaela Beech and her husband, Michael, Kolton Dunkelbarger, Khloe Cole, Kiersten Cole, and Kourtney Cole; and her great-grandchildren, Harper Aldrich and Jensen Aldrich.
Diane was a lifetime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Staunton, where she served as a Session Member, volunteered on various committees, and sang in the choir.
Diane's career accomplishments include being an agent at First Choice Real Estate, serving as the owner and operator of The Ruby Lynn Shop in downtown Staunton, worked as the General Manager of Imperial Fashions, Aileen, Lazerus, and GNC. She was also the Department Manager of IGA, Belk, and CVS and waitressed at Kenny Burger, Days Inn Diner, and Shoney's.
As a devoted wife for fifty-four years, Diane was unwavering in her loyalty and offered her family unconditional love. This love is what made her an extraordinary daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother - and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Diane cherished every moment spent with her family. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people she loved - at birthdays, holidays, special gatherings, and in the everyday moments that made up their lives together. Diane was known for her selflessness, always placing the needs of others above her own, and she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
A memorial service will be held at Linden Heights Baptist Church in Staunton at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with the Reverend Luke Smith officiating.
Interment will follow the memorial service at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church (2501 Fifth Street, Staunton, VA 24401) and Linden Heights Baptist Church (371 Linden Drive, Staunton, VA 24401).
