Diane Caroline Gross

Diane Caroline Gross (Fleming), of Howell, MI passed away in the morning hours of Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was 83 years old.
Diane, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness. She married the love of her life, Gerald Earl Gross, on September 30, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, and together they built a life centered around family and faith. Diane's love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. A talented quilter and knitter, she created beautiful handmade items, including hats, scarves, gloves, and blankets, many of which she lovingly donated to the Lutheran World Relief Foundation to help those in need.
Diane was deeply involved in her church community. She was a longtime volunteer at the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church School, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. As a Sunday school teacher and an active member of the church, she touched many lives with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. Diane lived her life as a true servant of God, always giving of herself to others with warmth and generosity. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diane is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald Earl Gross; her daughter, Dawn Michele Waldecker; her son Scott Paul (Cheryl) Gross; her grandsons, Trevor Ryan (Kelly) Waldecker, and Jack Thomas Gross; her brother, Thomas Gary (Irene) Fleming, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral Services from Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 2101 S Hacker Rd, Brighton, MI 48114 on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11:00AM. Gathering to begin at 10:00AM. Burial to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, MI at 2:30PM.
