Diane Hockenberry

Diane C. Hockenberry, 74 of Lakewood, died Sunday, February 8, 2026, in St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie.

She was born May 16, 1951, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Luciano and Dorothy Ellis Richetti. Following graduation from Jamestown High School in 1969, she began working for Mid Continent and later Alltel telephone companies before eventually turning her focus to raising her two children. Her family was always at the center of her life. Later, once her children were older, she built and operated her own cleaning business, taking pride in her work and the relationships she formed along the way.

Diane enjoyed the simple things that brought people together. She loved hosting family and friends for cookouts. Some of her favorite days were spent on the boat, keeping her husband company while he drove. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time crafting. The holidays were especially important to her, and she looked forward to preparing traditional Italian and Swedish meals, keeping family traditions alive and creating memories around the table.

Surviving is her husband, Randall "Randy" Hockenberry, whom she married November 24, 1973; two children James (Cristin) Hockenberry and Heather (Michael) Dietrich both of Jamestown; grandchildren Kater and Lucy Hockenberry and Gavin Dietrich; a sister Cindy (Ralph) Smith of Lakewood, and a brother Duane (Beth) Richetti of Jamestown.

The funeral will be held at 4 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2-4 pm Friday.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
