Diane Marie Jay (nee Kuchen), 70, passed away August 23, 2024 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was born January 3, 1954 in Chicago, IL. She grew up in the friendly village of Worth, IL, and spent most of her adult life between Illinois, California, New Jersey, and Florida. She retired to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in 2014.
Diane attended and graduated, in 1972, from Amos A Stagg High School. She still today has many close and loving friends from that era. At the University of Illinois she excelled in Accounting and was a active member of the Alpha Phi Sorority where she further nurtured special relationships. She graduated with Honors in 1976. Diane had a celebrated career as a CPA, working for a number of different accounting firms, both large and small. Diane took frequent breaks from her accounting career to help raise her children and enjoy time with her family. She loved to travel and cook, and she was certainly a master in the kitchen- always willing to try out a new recipe while embellishing the old ones. Diane was always willing to extend herself for others, selflessly caring for friends and family. She brightened up any room that she would enter.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Mike; sons, Doug (Julie) and Pat; grandchildren, Leo and Mason; brother, Don. She was predeceased by her parents, Norbert and Adeline, and her son, Mike.
