Diane Marie Lalla, age 67, of Granger, Texas, went home to the Lord surrounded by her family on January 28, 2025.
Diane was born on October 10, 1957, in Taylor, Texas, to Willard and Betty Ann Manley (Kaspar). She graduated from Taylor High School in 1976. The following year, she married John Lalla, and proceeded to have two daughters, Johna and Jvonne.
After working in various jobs, Diane entered the banking profession. Starting as a bank teller at Granger National Bank and then First State Bank, she ended her career as a Branch Manager of Cadence Bank. For 33 years, Diane worked in this field, and she deeply cared for her customers, often going above and beyond the typical banking hours to ensure her customers were taken care of, even if it meant she needed to go to their house. In addition, for almost 40 years she was the local Avon Lady. Diane never met a stranger and was always willing to help. Despite her hardworking nature and need to always keep busy, she never missed the opportunity to attend any activities her daughters were involved in and was their biggest supporter. The true joy of her life, however, was her seven grandchildren. No activity was too big for her to enjoy with them, even with a broken foot. Her other interests included dancing and playing dominoes.
Diane was a member of the Ss. Cyril & Methodious Church in Granger, Texas as well as a member of SPJST Lodge 20, Granger.
Diane was proceeded in death by her parents Willard Manley and Betty Ann Mulsow, her stepfather Harvey “Pop” Mulsow, and her sister Katherine Manley Raley.
Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Lalla; daughters Johna Jones (Daniel) and Jvonne Elwood (Charlie); seven adored grandchildren Aylin, Evin, Elia, Amon Jones and Cooper, Caraline, Caden Elwood; brothers Larry Manley, Randall Manley, and Allen Manley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pall bearers are Daniel Jones, Charlie Elwood, Seth Moore, JR Lalla, Travis Lalla and Chris Lalla. Honorary pall bearers are James Lawhon and Adam Raley.
Visitation is at 5pm Wednesday, February 5, 2025, followed by the Rosary at 7pm at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6,2025 at 10am at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Granger. A reception will be held following the burial at the S.S.C.M. parish hall.
