The Life and Legacy
Diane Living " Magget" was born to the union of Bobbie Jean Mayes Living and Edward Living on March 14, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas. She attended Hebert High School.
Diane was a member of New Light Baptist Church to the late Rev. Don. Diane Loved the lord and was vocal about how one should pray and thank Jesus daily for life. Every morning, she would have her children and grandchildren to give thanks to God before leaving the house. Those still reminders of thanking Jesus not only resonate with her children but her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Every morning before leaving she would have her children recite "Thank You Jesus For Another Beautiful Day For Waking Me Up" Amen
Diane was a loving, caring and nurturing individual who did not meet a stranger. Many would say that she had a heart that was golden. Diane would extend her door and wallet to anyone who was in need, not concerned with self but always willing to be a helping hand. Diane was truly an example of a person who would give the shirt off her back.
Diane spent majority of her younger years being a loving and nurturing mother to nine beautiful kids. Diane home was always filled with love and chaos.
Diane enjoyed cooking, dancing and listening to music. She loved to have a good time with those who she loved and cared for deeply. She was the life of the party, wherever there was a dance floor she was bound to be there dancing the night away.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Bobbie Jean Mayes Living, father: Edward Living, Grandparents: Hilda Jackson Mayes, and Jessie Mayes, Brother: Billy Ray Living, and Daughter: Kierra Nicole Hall, Grandbaby: Genesis Ware, Great Grandbabies: Kinley and Kinsley Burns.
She leaves behind to cherish her sweet memories her sister: Carolyn Sylvester (Wilbert), Her Children: Derrick Living (Nicole), Trimeka Living, Joseph Living (Latasha), Kortney Living (Anthony), Britney Living, Justin Living, Whitney Living, Shaquinta Living (Cedric), Qua'meika Smith (Kendrick). 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved and adored.
On January 10,2025 Diane was Diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer of the Esophageal Stage Four That Had Then Metastasis Throughout her body. Before Diane left this Earth, she was able to think back on her life and was able to reflect on the goodness of God and how blessed she was. She often stated," You never seen a U-Haul behind the undertaker" in her final memories she was able to repent and Thank God For All That he had done and was able to rededicate her life back to Christ. Although the battle was tough, she fought until the end gracefully. She was so strong and never showed fear and was so brave.
She is truly our warrior, and we are so proud to call her Mama.
