Diane Lyn Persons – age 67, returned home to her Lord Jesus Christ on October 13, 2025 after suffering complications from her long battle with diabetes. She was born on September 10, 1958 to the late Edward and Connie (Sokolowski) Gallup in Schenectady, NY. She is survived by her son Eric Persons of Florida, NY, sisters Susan Visconti (George) of Glenville, NY, Cheryl Armstrong (Glen) of Florida, NY, Barbara Thomson (Brian) of Texas and three grandchildren Leah, Lindsay & Lincoln Persons as well as her fiancée, David Greenwood of Glenville, NY and sister-in-law Rena Gallup. Her brother Robert Gallup pre-deceased her.
Diane was employed at the Golub Corporation for 43 years and retired as a manager in the Accounting department. She took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and taking them on outings. She enjoyed her summers at Galway Lake sailing, canoeing, and motoring with her fiancée. Diane loved baking a variety cookies, breads and meals at all family gatherings.
Viewing will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Glenville, NY on Friday, October 17th from 8:45AM to 9:45AM followed by Mass at 10:00AM. There will be no burial service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Diane's name may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 NY-5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Diane's passing. I worked with her at Golub for many years until she retired. She was a kind soul and always had a smile on her face. She loved talking about her grandchildren and looked forward to spending much more time with them in retirement.
My heartfelt condolences to Diane's entire family.
