Diane Thompson Queen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 3, 2024. She was born on October 1, 1952.
Diane had an incredible passion for nature and creativity. She found solace in tending to her garden, nurturing beautiful flowers that bloomed under her care. Her green thumb brought life and color to her surroundings. In addition to gardening, Diane had a talent for crafting and an eye for capturing the beauty of the world through photography. She truly enjoyed capturing her favorite moments and places on film.
Above all else, family held a special place in Diane's heart. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and devoted herself wholeheartedly to their well-being. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love and compassion. Diane's unfailing love for her family will forever be remembered as an example of pure selflessness.
Funeral services for Diane will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel, in Pryor, Oklahoma. A night of visitation will be held, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service, in Pryor, Oklahoma.
Left behind to honor the memory of Diane are her daughter, Jennifer Maddox of Eau Claire, WI; son, Richard Dale Queen of Springfield, MO; brother, Dallas Thompson of Stigler, OK; sisters Linda Graves of Chouteau, OK, and Kathy Gray of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Phelicia Diane Mouse, Brittney Jane Cowart, Megan Lousie Cowart, Emily Allene Queen, and Stephanie Kramer; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Paige Mouse, Kynlee Rayann Trotter, and one on the way, Raylee Diane; and her beloved dachshund, Mickey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Allene (Lawhorn) Thompson; brothers, Larry Thompson and Timothy Thompson; and granddaughter, Phelicity Dawn Mouse.
