Willena Mae Chapman

Willena Mae Chapman, 82-year-old resident, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Clare House in Tulsa. She was born on March 15, 1943, in Coweta, Oklahoma to Learl and Ona Belle (McCaslin) Bostain. She attended Timber Hill and Blue Jacket Schools. She was a member of Pryor American Legion Auxiliary Post 182. She worked for Eastern State Hospital for many years. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting, gardening, taking care of her goats, chickens & dogs. The most important thing to her was God and Family.

She loved helping others and shopping with her mother Ona. Places she lived are Chouteau, Claremore, Owasso, Pryor and Vinita Oklahoma. Willena is remembered by loved ones and friends as the sweetest lady. She always seemed to have a smile.

She was proceeded in death by, husband Bob Mason, her parents Learl Bostain and Ona Belle Moss, her Grandmother McCaslin, sibling Penny Moss, grandson Jarrod Devon Sellers and nephew Bradly Parish.

She is survived by her children: Ronald Dale Hawkins of Oklahoma City, Diana Maner & husband Cliff of Pryor Oklahoma, Tina Neis & husband Mike of Pheonix Arizona, Laura Reed Koster & Steve of Claremore, Violet Kirkendall & husband William of Collinsville and Delbert Bowers & wife Rhonda of Vinita. Grandchildren: Renae Dawn James, Jarrod Devon Sellers, Joshua Caine Sellers & wife Misty, Aaron Barrett Kirkendall & wife Arianna, Brianna Nicole Greene, Ryan Colton Kirkendall & wife Kim, Ronnie Del Bowers & wife Brooke, Audrey Faith Bowers, Kaylee Marie Kirkendall, Derrick Maner & wife Jessica and Misty Nance & husband Chris, Dakota Dillon & wife Naomi. She had fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She also left behind a precious fur baby "Smokey". Her siblings are, Ona Moss, Mary Gower, Joe Moss, Becky Moss, Donna Derosia, Gracie Colvin, Penny Moss, Jeannie Rie and Lori Bostain, Doretha Paxson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita.

The celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita, Pastor Justin Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at Chouteau North Cemetery in Chouteau, Oklahoma.
