She worked as a hostess and bartender at numerous local food establishments, devoted many years as a traditional housewife and mother, and later retired from Oak Hill Engineering. Above all, her greatest joy came from caring for her family.

Family time was the center of her world. She loved going to Bingo with her family, hosting family dinners-especially enjoying Chinese food-playing cards and dice with loved ones, completing word searches, and relaxing while watching her favorite shows, General Hospital and Grey's Anatomy. She cherished spending quality time with family and friends and created countless memories filled with laughter and love. She was a Christian and lived her life guided by faith.

She was previously married to Robert E. Bruce Sr. in 1968, with the marriage ending in divorce in 1972, and later to Christopher G. Renner in 1973, with the marriage ending in divorce in 1976.

She is survived by her children: Paula Bruce (Matt) of Monticello, Iowa; Robert Bruce Jr. (Jessica) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Jeremy Brown (Tammy) of Morley, Iowa; and Anastasia Beddingfield of Anamosa, Iowa. She was a proud grandmother to Kasey, Russell, Tracy, Courtney, Angel, Kristan, Tyler, Chelsea, Nathan, Sean, Austin, Ashley, Mason, Myles, and Madilynn, and a loving great-grandmother to Kaleb, Kelsey, Drew, Tristan, Maverick, Cael, Anastasia, Colton, Tate, Caleb, Harper, Xavier, Hayden, Calum, Lucas, Levi, Olivia, JJ, Bryce, and Amari. She is also survived by her sister, Marcella Howell of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verle Sisco and Betty Anderson; her sister, Verletta Sisco; and her son, Brett Bruce.
