Evangelist Diane Stern, born on January 8, 1959, was a luminary in the hearts of many, cherished for her indelible impact as a devoted Evangelist and First Lady of the Greater Community Outreach Church of God in Christ. A remarkable servant of the Lord, she devoted more than four decades to her ministry, tirelessly sharing the gospel and uplifting communities through her fervent faith and unwavering commitment.
Diane departed this earthly realm on November 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and boundless compassion. She was the beloved wife of Superintendent Lee Stern, with whom she shared 47 years of a blessed marriage, marked by mutual support and an unwavering partnership in faith.
An inspiring mother and grandmother, Diane delighted in nurturing her family. Her days were often filled with joyous moments spent cooking, sewing, and planning celebrations as a wedding and banquet coordinator. She was a beacon of light for the less fortunate, dedicating her efforts to feeding the homeless and senior citizens. Additionally, her passion for intercessory prayer radiated throughout her community, bringing hope and solace to many.
Diane’s educational foundation stemmed from her time at Waxahachie High School, where she laid the groundwork for a life rich in service and creativity. Not only was she a woman of God, but she also embraced the beauty of life through vacationing with her husband and children, often cherishing moments spent with her beloved mother and grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on December 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service celebrating Diane's life will follow on December 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saintsville Church of God in Christ, where her influence will ripple through the faithful gathered to honor her memory.
Sister Diane Stern's extraordinary journey was one punctuated by her deep faith, her unwavering love for her family, and her devoted service to her community. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered for the immeasurable love she poured into every life she touched.
