Diane Varady Obituary

CAMPBELL…Diane L. Varady, 64, affectionately known as "Bum", passed away peacefully , surrounded by her family at Hospice House in Poland on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Diane was born July 27, 1961 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Ernest and Doris (Domanich) Varady.
Diane was a 1979 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and was a lifelong resident of Campbell.
She worked for the Mahoning County Library System for 45 years, most recently at the Campbell Branch.
Diane was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Church.
She loved traveling at any opportunity to any location with family and friends. Diane enjoyed bowling, shopping and reading. She especially loved her cows. Her favorite thing to do was to go bumming around with her nieces and nephews.
Diane will be deeply missed and always remembered by her mother, Doris Varady of Campbell; her sister, Renee (Lee) Benson of Canfield; her brother, Robert (Jody) Varady of Cleveland; two nieces, Jennifer (Tyler) Gruhn of Mebane, NC and Amanda Benson of Columbus, Ohio; a nephew, Brian (Ali) Benson of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; great-nieces and great-nephews, Logan and Ava Gruhn, Cooper, Aubrey and Liliana Benson; her lifelong friends, "Sissy" Dudik and Lynette Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Varady.
The Varady family has entrusted Diane's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 4-6pm followed by a funeral service at 6pm.
