With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Dianne M. Courtwright. Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a fierce fighter, who left this world after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dianne was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Armando and Mary Ciallella in 1960. She was raised in Brick, New Jersey, and graduated from Slippery Rock State College before becoming a Juvenile Probation Officer and prior to retiring as a Court Coordinator at the Monmouth County Superior Court.
She was a tireless advocate who dedicated her life to guiding children toward a brighter future. Dianne helped countless youth find their way through difficult times with kindness and compassion. She had an unwavering belief in the potential of every child. Working both within the justice system, and far beyond its walls, Dianne was a mentor to many and this benevolence extended throughout her personal life.
She was married to William (Bill) Courtwright on April 8th, 1994. Dianne and Bill, settled in Brick, New Jersey, where they built a loving home and achieved their greatest accomplishment; their four (4) beautiful children. Together, they created a life rooted in love, hard work, and shared values. Dianne's heart extended beyond her own home, touching the lives of her extended family, friends, neighbors and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She faced her illness with incredible strength, dignity, and grace, never allowing it to define her. Through her hardest days, she remained a source of comfort, and unconditional love for her family.
To her children, she was a safe space, and a guiding light. She taught the merit of kindness, the power of resilience, and the importance of never giving up. Her warmth, and her boundless love will echo in the hearts of all those who she left behind.
Though cancer may have taken her from this life, it never took her spirit. She was brave. She was beautiful. She was deeply loved by all. May she rest in peace, free from pain, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her adoring husband, Bill; their children, Connor (Hà), Trevor, Teresa, and Kylie; her siblings, Carmine, Vincenzina, Dominick and Gina (Jonnie); her brother-in-law, Robert (Lori); her sister-in-laws, Kathy and Suzanne (Dave); her numerous nieces and nephews and by the many unnamed others that were chosen family by heart. You were not "like" family to Dianne - you were family.
She was predeceased by her parents Armando and Mary; her father and mother in-law, Charles and Catherine; her sister, Maria; her sister-in-law, Carol; her brother-in-law, Scott; and her nephew, James.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dianne's life at Oliverie Funeral Home in Jackson, New Jersey. Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m on August 12th, 2025.
