Dianne Wilson Garcia, a cherished soul whose warmth and dedication touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Austin, TX. Born in Mexia, TX, on February 8, 1949, Dianne's journey through life was one marked by love, service, and the joy she found in the company of her family and friends.

Dianne, spent her early years in the heart of Texas, where she cultivated a spirit of generosity and community that would define her for the rest of her days. Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength throughout her life's trials and triumphs.

In 2006, Dianne celebrated her marriage to her beloved husband, Andy Garcia, with whom she shared 19 years of unwavering companionship and mutual support. Their partnership was a testament to love's enduring presence in times of change. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her daughters, Anne Clement (Tim), Andrea "Andy" Oestrick (David), and Kathryn Clover, and took immense pride in the accomplishments and adventures of her two granddaughters, Emily and Hannah Clement.

Professionally, Dianne's commitment to education and community was evident in her 28-year tenure at the Texas Education Agency. There, she not only forged a distinguished career but also formed deep and lasting connections with her colleagues. Her retirement in 2011 did not diminish these bonds but rather allowed her to enjoy these friendships with a newfound freedom, as she continued to engage and inspire those around her.

As we bid farewell to Dianne Wilson Garcia, we celebrate a life well-lived. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and faith in Christ. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her steady presence, her giving heart, and the joy she brought to every moment shared with those she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, 10/26/2025 at High Pointe Baptist Church, 12030 Dessau Rd., Austin, TX 78754.
