Dianne R. Johnson, 83, entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 peacefully at her home in Weyauwega. She was born in Sparta, WI on February 28, 1942, daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Jessie) Storandt. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dianne's life was a testament to the power of family and unconditional love.
Dianne is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her children: Lisa (Lamont) Anderson, Kerry (John) Gain, Barbara (Ron) Hansen, and Mark Johnson; her beloved 12 grandchildren: Casandra, Alex, Vincent, Tyler, Zach (Sammy), Josh (Liz), John, Lucas, Lexie, Brett, Chelsea, and Aileah; 6 great-grandchildren: Arya, Emitt, Claire. Maddyx, Augustus, and one on the way; brother, Theodore (RaeGene) Storandt. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On April 14, 1961 she married her soulmate, Bill Johnson. Together they proudly owned King's Table Restaurant for over 40 years.
She had a deep love for knitting, a love shared with her "S&B" girls - Sandy, Cindy, Barb, Lynne and Ruth - whose gatherings were rich with stories, laughter, and friends who became family.
Family was at the center of Dianne's world. Her family meant everything to her, and she taught us the meaning of unconditional love, resilience and faith. Road trip vacations to St. Augustine blossomed into treasured annual traditions; filled with laughter, games of Catch Phrase and Uno played too loudly on the balcony (or so the neighbors yelled) and unforgettable memories. In honoring Dianne's memory, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Though you may no longer walk beside us, your love, lessons and laugh will remain in our hearts always.
The Christian Memorial Service for Dianne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca with the Rev. Ben Kempfert officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:00-10:45 a.m. A lunch will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s in memory of Dianne.
