Mrs. Dianne Moore, 65, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, transitioned on August 4, 2025 at the Wilson Assisted Living Facility, Wilson, North Carolina.
Dianne Moore was taken from her earthly home to God's eternal rest. She was born on November 17, 1959 in Rocky Mount, NC to Dorothy Lee Lucas and Willie Lucas Sr. and loving grandparents Evelyn and Edward Wilkins.
She attended and graduated from Rocky Mount Sr. High School and served on the usher board at Emmanuel Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, NC. She loved to cook. She would cook for the whole neighborhood. She had a sweet soul and a giving spirit.
Dianne was married to Willie Moore Sr. and is survived by her son Willie Moore Jr. (aka) Pooh Bear, Demonte Moore (grandson), Dvonte Moore (grandson), Brianna Moore (granddaughter), and loving friend Queen Harrison. Other family members include Willie Lucas Jr., brother (Karen), Sophronia Langley (late sister), Bridget Reeves (sister), and Darryl Marshall (brother); Martha Moore, Evelyn M. Sharpe, Carrie D. Hilliard (sisters in law), Sandra Walden, cousin (Allen), and James Murphy (uncle), Lashonda Scott (niece), Nikisha Mays (cousin), Jason Murphy (cousin), Dylan Scott (great nephew), Brynn Scott (great niece) and a host of relatives and friends.
Special thanks to the Wilson Assisted Living Facility for taking great care of Dianne. God has sent an angel in the form of Linda Hunter-Crump. We thank you so much for the dedication and love you have shown Dianne. We love you in Jesus Name.
A Visitation for Mrs. Moore will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.
