Dianne Susan Zak (Fear), age 69, passed away on November 8, 2025. Born February 23, 1956, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she was the beloved daughter of Donna and Kenneth Kumm. Dianne is survived by her sister, Denise Madson; nieces Carey Scherer (Dominic Scherer), Kimberly Byron (Ramses Byron), and Courtney Madson; twelve great nephews and nieces; eight great-great nephews and nieces; and her former spouse Jerry Fear. Her family remembers her for her quiet strength, loyalty, and the small rituals that made ordinary days meaningful. Dianne graduated from Mariner High School in White Bear Lake in 1974. She later pursued higher education at the Carlson School of Management and the University of Minnesota, earning her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2001. Following high school, Dianne began her working life at 3M. She spent decades in logistics and transportation: YRC Worldwide (Yellow Freight) from 1981–2002, Celadon Systems Inc from 2004–2011, and Logistics International LLC in 2012. Her steady presence and dedication to her work were a hallmark of her professional life. In 1978 Dianne was named a St. Paul Winter Carnival princess, a joyful recognition that reflected her warmth and connection to community traditions. Dianne adored her cats, finding comfort and company in their steady presence. She enjoyed playing golf, valuing time outdoors, friendly competition, and the simple pleasures of the course. Dianne loved to travel and was always ready for the next adventure. She explored Alaska and Tennessee, enjoyed many cruises, and delighted in the energy and camaraderie of the Sturgis Bike Rally. Her journeys brought her joy, new friends, and stories she happily shared with family and visitors. Dianne faced a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease with remarkable poise and strength, refusing to let it define her. She met each day with a positive attitude and a quiet determination that inspired everyone around her. Dianne will be remembered for a life lived with steadiness, companionship, and a deep affection for family and the small comforts of home. She leaves behind many who cherished her laughter, her work ethic, and the gentle way she carried herself through life. Visitation 10:30 a.m.; Service 11:30 a.m.; lunch reception to follow - BEREAN BAPTIST CHURCH, 309 County Rd 42 E, Burnsville, MN 55306.
