Diego Lopez, age 26, of Wautoma, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023.
He was born August 11, 1996 in Mexico, the son of Patricia Lopez. Although the United States was not his birth place, he truly loved America. Diego attended Wautoma High School and graduated in 2014. He was employed at Milk Specialties in Wautoma. Diego was warm, kind, respectful, caring and loving. He enjoyed the outdoors, drawing, listening to music, fishing, soccer, but most of all he loved being with his loved ones. Diego loved being a father and he loved his kids more that anything in the world.
Diego is survived by his mother, Patricia Lopez, Wautoma; two children, Xavier Zepeda-Lopez and Catalina Zepeda-Lopez; five siblings: Diana (Manuel) Lopez, Tatiana Lopez, Bryan Lopez, Daniel Lopez, and Adele Lopez, all of Wautoma; one nephew, Sebastian Lopez. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. William Evans officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 17th at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
