Harvey Duane Reilly age 91 of Wautoma passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Silver Lake Manor, Wautoma. He was born on April 7, 1934 in Wautoma at home to James and Anna (Doerfler) Reilly. Harvey worked for his family at Reilly Filling Station and later took over the business. On January 12, 1953 he married Delores Weiland at Grace United Methodist Church. In 1961 he bought Weiland Motors which became Reilly Motors and Harvey ran the business until his retirement in 1980. Harvey was very active in the community over the years. He was a member of the Wautoma Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Masons, Mascoutin Shrine Club, Scottish Right, Shriners Hospital, Royal Order of Jesters, Ducks Unlimited, Wautoma Fire Department, Wautoma Jaycees and Rotary Club. Harvey was also a Boy Scout Leader, Board of Director for Farmers Exchange Bank and was involved with establishing the Wautoma Airport along with maintenance and upkeep. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing, hunting, golfing, flying, camping, boating and traveling.
Harvey is survived by his wife: Delores Reilly; children: Linda (Bob) Happersett, Mike Reilly, Randy (Nancy) Reilly, Duane Reilly, Kevin (Dawn Brandt) Reilly; grandchildren: Robert “BJ” Happersett, Melissa (Brad) Gustin, Tyler Reilly, Jessica (Joe) Woods, Brittney Reilly, Derek (Sean Maloney) Reilly, Megan (Nick) Crass, Alyssa Reilly; great grandchildren: Rylee, Jack, Paedyn, Bronwyn, Emmogyn, Elliya, Lucy, Charlotte; sisters-in-law: Janice Reilly, Mary Lou Reilly, Barbara Weiland; brother-in-law: John Hornig; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; infant brother: Tommy; brothers: James, Richard, Charles (Mary), Wayne and a sister-in-law: Janeth “Tootsie” Hornig.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma with burial to follow in Wautoma Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 4PM to 6PM followed by a Masonic Service at 6PM. The family will also greet relatives and friends on Monday, August 4, 2025 at church from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
