Dillon Joshua Conner, 38, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025. Born in Flint, Michigan on November 8, 1986, Dillon brought joy, energy, and passion to everyone whose life he touched.
Dillon was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Lonnie Leonard, Nancy Leonard, and Douglas Conner; his uncle Lonnie Leonard Jr.; and his cousin Cody Leonard.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted spouse Nikole; his cherished children, daughter Danikah and son Damon; his mother Suzanne Leonard; his father Darryl Conner and stepmother Bonnie; his mother-in-law Angelia Harvell; and his grandmother Retia. Dillon was a loving brother to Dion, Dalvin, and Dalton Conner, and a treasured uncle to his eleven nephews and nieces: Alyson, Dion Jr., Dominic, Donovan, Arabella, Abigail, Audrey, Dalton Jr., Daxton, Delany, Dahlia, and Shayleigh. He also leaves behind countless friends and family members, including his best friend Robert, who shared in his adventures and laughter.
Dillon lived life with a playful spirit that was infectious to all who knew him. Social, energetic, and passionate, he had an exceptional ability to bring people together, connect even with total strangers, and create lasting memories. A devoted Detroit Lions and Tigers fan, Dillon's love for Detroit sports was unwavering, cheering them on through every season with unmatched loyalty and hope.
His competitive spirit shone through his professional dart playing, where he combined skill with his natural charisma. But perhaps nothing brought him more joy than going to concerts and bonding in music with Nikole and his daughter Danikah and watching his son Damon play baseball, especially seeing him develop as a catcher. Dillon was their biggest supporter, never missing an opportunity to encourage and celebrate his kids' achievements.
Dillon's youth was filled with the thrill of pretending to be ninja turtles, wrestling, skateboarding, and exploring the country alongside his three brothers, creating bonds and memories that would last a lifetime. This shared passion brought the Conner brothers closer together and instilled in Dillon a love for adventure and fearless pursuit of what he enjoyed.
Nothing made him more proud of his identity than being a CODA and part of the deaf community.
As a member of Faith and Family Church of Baytown, Dillon found spiritual fulfillment and community. His recent baptism in January 2025 marked an important milestone in his faith journey, bringing him peace and purpose.
Dillon lived by his personal philosophy: "Find what you love and let it kill you..." His life exemplified this belief as he pursued his passions with wholehearted dedication, whether he was supporting his wife and beloved children, always showing up for his brothers, being an incredible friend, cheering on his beloved Lions, or simply bringing laughter to those around him.
Dillon lived 10 lifetimes in his 38 years. Though his time with us was far too short, Dillon's legacy lives on in the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the passionate way he approached every day. His playful spirit, generous heart, and zest for life will be remembered and celebrated by all who were blessed to know him.
