With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dillon Garett Saunders, who left this world far too soon on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 30.
Born on July 20, 1995, in Farmington, Missouri, Dillon was a beloved son to Ryan Saunders and Sandra Drooger. His laughter, his loyalty, and his love for his family were unwavering and unforgettable.
Dillon found joy in life’s simple moments—whether he was out shooting, casting a line while fishing, listening to music, or unwinding with his Xbox. But more than anything else, it was time spent with family that meant the most to him. He especially adored his nieces and nephew, who held a very special place in his heart and brought him endless pride.
Dillon is survived by his father, Ryan Saunders; mother, Sandra Drooger and her friend Nathaniel Hamelback; his siblings: Layne & Chloe Saunders, Owen & Keely Saunders, Joleen Saunders, Ethan Drooger, and Nathan Drooger; and his cherished nieces and nephew: Siraiya, Xavier, Saraphina, and Kylee. He also leaves behind his grandparents: Cecilia Slatton, Ronald Drooger, and Rick Rulo, along with many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Buster Richards, grandmother, Sharon Arndt, and his uncle, Chris Richards, both of whom he loved deeply.
A memorial gathering to honor Dillon’s life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the DeClue Memorial Chapel.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of DeClue Funeral Home. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will be felt forever.
