Dimple Imogene "Johnson" Knowlton

Dimple Imogene (Johnson) Knowlton, 90 of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Grandview Post Acute in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Dimple was born on Thursday, March 7, 1935, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Cecil Edward Johnson and the late Ada (Whiteaker) Johnson.

Dimple was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Grandma, aunt, and friend. She loved to crochet, especially dolls, and work puzzles. She was a caring person who loved taking care of others, especially her grandchildren. Dimple was loved by those who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.

Dimple is survived by her 5 Children, Michael Knowlton and his significant other, Cyndie Whittaker, Tim Knowlton and his wife, Judy, Tony Knowlton and his wife, Debbie, Suzan Knowlton Martin and her husband, Chris, and Russell Knowlton and his significant other, Patti Carlile; 16 Grandchildren; A host of great-grandchildren; 2 Siblings, Harold Johnson and his wife, Trudy, and Barbara Johnson; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Dimple was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Sarge Knowlton; 1 son, Chris Knowlton; 4 Siblings, Howard Johnson, Jewell Bradford, Mildred Bennett, and Cathy Jarman.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Johnson officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
