James Carl Wallace II, affectionately known as Dink, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024.
James touched many lives during his lifetime, and he will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Dink was born to the late James and Betty Wallace in Indianapolis on June 22, 1973.
Dink enjoyed landscaping and tree trimming, as well as obtaining various odd jobs working on cars, which he enjoyed. Despite facing personal struggles, he possessed a good heart. No matter the circumstances, he always willingly helped those around him, earning the affection of all who crossed his path.
A passionate music lover, he enjoyed all types of music; it became part of who Dink was and kept him grounded. Dink often enjoyed taking on projects that involved tearing apart, rebuilding, and perfecting. This dedication and attention to detail were characteristics he shared with his family, particularly his mother.
To honor and celebrate the life of James "Dink" Wallace, we invite all who knew him to gather for a memorial service on Wednesday, November 6th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at John Wayne’s Pub and Eatery, located at 2367 E Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis. A balloon release to commemorate his memory will take place at 2:45 PM.
Dink will always be remembered for his kindness, determination, and the love he shared with those around him. May his spirit live on in all of us.
