Dirk Bruehl Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Born March 18, 1945, in Wuppertal, Germany. Dirk was the son of the late Heinz E. Bruehl and Helga (Thomas) Bruehl.
Dirk grew up in Salingen, spent 4 years in Wuppertal until 1972, and then lived in Nuremberg until 2003 when he moved to the states. He worked in Accident, MD for Phenix Technologies, lived in Oakland for 3 years, and then lived in Salisbury, PA for 7 years. Dirk handmade electronic boxes for Star Wars (Storm Troopers) Reenactors for 11 years.
Dirk is survived by his children who reside in Nuremberg: Matthias Bruehl and Berenice Bruehl; a brother: Lutz Bruehl and wife, Susie; and a sister: Cornelia (Bruehl) Franz and husband, Helmut; as well as his close companion: Lynne Dale.
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church 33 S Broadway, Frostburg, MD 21532., and then proceed to the Saint John's Episcopal Church for interment in the Columbarium.
