Dixie Maschino Obituary

Dixie M. Maschino, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at Hoosier Health and Living. She was born in Seymour on July 7, 1939, to the late Charles and Avis (Anderson) Tidd. On October 14, 1960, she married the love of her life, Ross Maschino. Dixie lived a life marked by dedication, love, and faith.

After 23 years of devoted service, Dixie retired from Schneck Medical Center, where she was not only an employee but a friend to all with whom she worked. A devout Christian, Dixie was a faithful member of her church. Her religion was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and joy throughout her years.

Dixie's interests were centered around her family, particularly her cherished grandchildren. Retirement was not a sign to slow down but an opportunity to dedicate herself fully to the care and support of her grandchildren, whom she adored. They were her pride and joy, and she was affectionately known to them as "Mamaw." Dixie's presence was a constant at her grandchildren's sporting events, where she was recognized as their number one fan, cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm.

The love of music brought additional joy to Dixie's life, and she was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. Her passion for his music was known to all, and his songs could often be heard playing in her home, bringing a smile to her face and to those around her.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Trueblood of Seymour, Ross (Debbie) Maschino II of Virginia Beach, VA and Randy L. Maschino (Mary) of Columbus; four grandchildren, Samantha Maschino, Dylan Maschino, Delaney Maschino and Elizabeth Trueblood; and great-grandson, Julian Maschino; sisters, Shirley Montgomery, Deanna (Don) Kieser and Linda (Jim) Heyne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Arnold Tidd, Wilford Tidd and Hick (Renee) Tidd; sisters, Betsy (Larry) Winebrenner, Veronica (William) Miller, Neva Langely; brother in law, Monty Montgomery and son-in-law, Joshua Trueblood.

A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church 605 S. Walnut St, Seymour, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will officiate. Friends may call from 9 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
