Dock L Womble

Dock L. Womble, Jr., 59, of Valrico, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2026, in

Brandon, Florida, following a stroke.

Born on March 11, 1966, in Lakeland, Florida, Dock was the son of Dock L. Womble, Sr.

and Sheryl Womble. He spent most of his life in Lakeland, a community he proudly

called home, while also spending time in Claxton, Georgia, and Winona, Minnesota.

Dock pursued business studies in Lakeland and built a successful career as an IT

consultant. He also honorably served in the Army Reserves. A man of many talents and

interests, Dock achieved his pilot's license, volunteered for children's charities, and was

a proud member of HCC. Musically inclined, he enjoyed playing both the trumpet and

guitar.

Dock embraced life with enthusiasm and humor. He loved riding his Indian motorcycle,

enjoying a cold beer, and sharing laughter through his well-timed practical jokes. His

playful spirit and storytelling will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Sam Womble and Anthony Womble; his sister, Diana

Grosvent; his former wife, Vanessa Womble; his nieces; Amanda Harris, Nicole Boyles,

and Victoria Grosvent; and his great-nephew, Ozias Harris.

His last act of kindness was being an organ donor, helping to save the lives of others.
