Dohn Thomas Armon

Dohn "Shortz" Thomas Armon, 56, of Alburnett, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 - 5 p.m. on May 11, 2024, at the Central City American Legion. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Dohn was born on July 13, 1967, in Long Beach, California, the son of Dohn and Judy (Steggall) Armon. He was a graduate of Washington High School and went on to attend the University of Iowa. On October 11, 1997, Dohn was united in marriage to Angie Kouba at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Through the years, Dohn was employed by TechniGraphics in Iowa City, J & A Printing in Hiawatha, and most recently, at Linn Co-op in Springville. Dohn enjoyed most sporting events, specifically anything Iowa Hawkeyes or golf-related. But his greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. Dohn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dohn is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Angie; two daughters, Rhea and Ava Armon; sister, Danelle (Scott) Hill; brother, John (Kelly) Armon; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry (Carol) Kouba; brother-in-law, Brian Kouba; an aunt and uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbi Norvell. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dohn's memory may be directed to the family.
