Dollene Russell age 95 of Dora and formally Dahlonega, GA, passed away on September 26, 2025. She was born on May 19, 1930 to James and Estelle Bowen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, P.M. "Mac" Russell, Jr.; her parents; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Dollene is survived by her sister, Patricia Yarborough; children, Roger Russell (Janet), Rodney Russell (Sylvia), and Ronald Russell (Tia); grandchildren, Eric, Michelle, Sarah, Peter, Ryan, Rebecca, Rachel; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Everitt, Seger, Ridley, Bowen, Callum, and Cooper.

Dollene and her husband met as a young couple while working at the Lyric at Alabama Theatres, which became a big part of their young lives and they continued to devote their time to it later in their lives. She was passionate for years with the volunteer association at the Dahlonega hospital. She was the president and also ran the gift shop. She was the poll voting officiator for Dahlonega. We know she love politics and she did that for many years. She was present in the lives of her children, even being president of the PTA at their schools. She was the poll voting officiant of Dahlonega. All in all, she was very community minded.

Dollene was very strong willed and outspoken, yet gracious. She was very precious to her family.

A visitation with family will be held at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home Friday, October 3 from 12:00-1:00 PM. Services will follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Graveside interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.
