Dolly Faye Harris

MILLENNIUM, NC - Dolly Faye Odom Harris, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at the ECU Health Hospice House in Pitt County, North Carolina. She was born on January 5, 1952, in Northampton County, North Carolina, and lived a full life of 74 years.

Dolly Faye dedicated her life as a homemaker, enriching the lives of her family with her unwavering love and care. Her home was always filled with music, a testament to her deep passion for singing and dancing, which brought joy to all who knew her. Artistic by nature, she was a talented painter whose art expressed the beauty she saw in the world.

Above all, Dolly Faye cherished her role as a grandmother, fondly referring to her grandchildren as "my babies." Her love for them was evident in the precious time she spent in their company, nurturing and guiding them with wisdom and grace. Dolly Faye will be remembered for her joyful spirit, artistic talent, and the unconditional love she gave to her family. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the music and warmth she treasured in life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Icy Morris Odom and Joseph Mack Odom, and her husband, Nathan Harris, Dolly Faye leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Harris Hayes, and Suzie Harris Lassiter and husband Corey; her adored grandchildren, Sierra Hayes, Amanda Lassiter and fiancé Johnathan Jenkins, Kayla Hayes, and Cody Lassiter all of Aulander, NC. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Odom, and her extended family of nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Aulander Cemetery in Aulander, NC, with Rev. Taylor Latham officiating.
