Dolly Miles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. - Bellefonte from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2026.
Dolly Bechel Miles, 58, of State College, passed away in her home on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Born on March 5, 1967, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Regis and Sheila (Johnson) Bechel. She spent the last 12 years with her soul mate, Gregory Lingengelter, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2025.

Dolly was a 1985 graduate of DeRidder High School in Louisiana. After high school, she moved to Houston, Texas and became a manager at McDonald's. Desiring a slower paced, family lifestyle, she moved to Pennsylvania in 2004. She relocated to State College in 2025, where she worked in customer service at Weis Markets.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Kirkwood and her husband, Ryan, and granddaughter, Oaklynn. Also surviving are her siblings, Dawn Moslak and Danzay Bechel, nieces, Rosemarie Bechel, Krista Bechel, Samantha Bechel, and Kaisey Moslak, a nephew, William Miles, and a sister-in-law, Deborah Miles, and many great nieces and nephews.

Dolly was a member of State College Access Church. When she wasn't working, she spent time with her beloved cat Grey and dear friend Faith. More than anything, she loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She enjoyed playing games and going to the pool with Oaklynn. She enjoyed going yearly to the ballet in Pittsburgh, thrifting, and traveling with Ashley. Prior to Greg's passing, they enjoyed riding Harley's, trips to the family racetrack, and enjoying each other's company. In her younger years, she had a passion for horses and riding. Throughout her devoted customer service career, her regular customers said her smile was contagious. She worked over 20 years at McDonald's locations in Texas and Pennsylvania. Dolly would always say "everything happens for a reason." At this time, the reason does not make sense. Dolly will be missed by many.

A Memorial Service led by Zac McDonald will be held at State College Access Church on March 7, 2026 at 11:30am. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.

The family wishes to not receive any floral arrangements at this time.
