Toby Scott Capparelle
September 17, 1966 - March 10, 2026
Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Toby Scott Capparelle, 59, of Bellefonte, Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born on September 17, 1966, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Carl Capparelle of Bellefonte, and the late Doris (Smith) Capparelle. On October 14, 2000, he married the love of his life, Noelle (Fetzer) Capparelle, who survives at home after sharing 25 years of marriage together.
Toby was a 1984 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. After high school, he attended Lock Haven University on a baseball scholarship. After his father retired, Toby and his brothers owned and operated T C Transport until 2024.
In addition to his wife, Noelle, he is survived by their sons, Jayden and Parker Capparelle of Bellefonte. Also surviving are his siblings, Linda Plozner (John) of Bellefonte, Marjorie Paolicelli (Stephen) of Parsippany, New Jersey, Thomas Capparelle (Martha), Timothy Capparelle, Barbara Berenty (Christopher), all of Bellefonte, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Bonnie Garner, of Florida, and step mother-in-law, Linda Fetzer of Tyrone.
Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Murray Fetzer.
Toby was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. His faith was a staple in his everyday life. His strong Christian values were passed on to his sons, Jayden and Parker.
He was an avid sprint car enthusiast. Toby, Noelle and the boys were long time Nittany Lion Football fans, whose tailgates were legendary. When not cheering on the Nittany Lions or the Buffalo Bills, they would be hitting the road on his Harley.
One of Toby's greatest passions was baseball in every form. He played Little League, Teener League, Legion and County baseball. After hanging up his spikes, he continued to be involved in baseball by coaching Jayden, Parker, and the Knights of Columbus Little League team. Currently he was the President of the Bellefonte Baseball Booster Club. It was through his leadership that the batting cages became a reality. If you were ever looking for Toby, you could always find him at the ball field, along with Noelle and the boys. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family; supporting his sons in anything that they participated in brought him the most joy.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, with Father Brian Saylor officiating.
